Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Advani Digital handles information for its website, the ZeroSense and Pinpoint Chrome extensions, Pro access for either product, and related digital product pages.

1. Overview

Advani Digital offers two Chrome extensions:

  • ZeroSense — helps you understand large numbers on webpages by showing readable formats such as lakh, crore, million, billion and scientific notation.
  • Pinpoint — finds the exact image you right-clicked on its source page, scrolls to it and highlights it.

The two products are operated independently. Each has its own licence and its own separate data storage; buying or using one does not give access to the other.

Our goal is to collect only the information needed to provide the product, activate or restore Pro access, handle payments, prevent license misuse and provide support.

2. Information we collect

For normal website usage, we may receive basic technical information that browsers and hosting providers typically process, such as page requests, timestamps, device/browser type and general diagnostic information.

For ZeroSense Pro or Pinpoint Pro, we may collect and store your email address, payment reference, license status, OTP session status and an installation or device identifier generated by the extension.

This is the complete list of what reaches our servers. We do not receive the webpages you visit, the images you search for, your browsing history, or the contents of any page.

3. What ZeroSense processes inside the browser

ZeroSense may scan visible webpage text in your browser to detect large numbers and display helpful labels or tooltips. This is required for the core feature of translating numbers where they appear.

All detection and formatting of numbers happens locally within your browser. The content of the pages you visit is never transmitted to our servers, stored, or shared. The only data sent to our backend is a randomly generated install ID and, for Pro users, your email — used solely to verify license status.

ZeroSense does not intentionally collect your browsing history, passwords, private messages, financial account credentials, payment instrument details, personal files or full webpage content for sale or advertising.

The extension is designed to process number detection and formatting for product functionality. Pro activation and restore checks may contact our backend using license-related information such as email, install ID and payment/license status.

4. What Pinpoint processes inside the browser

Pinpoint does nothing until you ask it to. It acts only when you right-click an image and choose “Search in source page” from the context menu. It does not watch, read or record pages in the background.

When you start a search, Pinpoint:

  • Reads the address of the image you right-clicked and the page it links to.
  • Downloads that image directly from the website hosting it — not through our servers — and does so without sending your cookies or login details.
  • Calculates a small mathematical fingerprint of the image inside your browser.
  • Looks at the images on the page you land on and compares them to that fingerprint, entirely on your own device, to find the match and highlight it.

Your images are never uploaded to us. The image itself, its fingerprint, the page you searched, the pages you visit and their content are never sent to, stored by, or shared by Advani Digital. All matching happens locally in your browser.

While a search is in progress, Pinpoint temporarily keeps the image address, the source page address and the fingerprint in your browser’s session storage so the search can continue as you move between pages. This is cleared automatically when you close your browser.

Pinpoint also stores a small amount of information locally in your browser: a randomly generated install ID, your count of searches for the current day (used for the free daily limit), your Pro status, and the email address you type into the extension. Chrome may sync this to your Google account if you have Chrome sync switched on; that syncing is performed by Chrome, not by us.

The only information Pinpoint ever sends to our servers is the randomly generated install ID, used to check whether Pro is active. It contains nothing about you or your browsing.

Pinpoint does not collect your browsing history, passwords, private messages, financial credentials, payment details, personal files or webpage content, and it contains no analytics or tracking of any kind.

5. Why Pinpoint needs access to websites you visit

Pinpoint requests permission to run on any website. This is required for its single purpose: the image you right-click could link to any site on the web, and Pinpoint cannot know in advance which one. To find and highlight your image on that page, it must be able to run there.

This permission is used only to locate the image you explicitly asked for. Pinpoint takes no action on any page unless you right-click an image and choose “Search in source page”.

6. Pro access and license data

Pro access for ZeroSense and for Pinpoint is linked to your payment email address and a limited number of active devices or browser profiles. This helps activate Pro features, restore access and reduce license sharing or misuse.

Each product holds its licences in separate storage. A ZeroSense licence does not unlock Pinpoint, and a Pinpoint licence does not unlock ZeroSense, even when the same email address is used for both.

We may store device or installation identifiers, license status and related timestamps for access management and support purposes.

7. Payments

Payments are processed through Razorpay. Advani Digital does not store your card, UPI, banking or payment instrument details.

We may store payment-related references, purchase status, payment email and license status so that Pro access can be activated, verified or restored.

8. Email OTP verification

To activate or restore Pro access for ZeroSense or Pinpoint, we may send a one-time password to your email address. OTP verification helps confirm that you control the email used for purchase or restore access.

OTPs are used only for verification and account/license access. OTP sessions expire after a short period.

9. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide ZeroSense and Pinpoint features
  • Activate and restore Pro access for either product
  • Apply the free daily search limit in Pinpoint
  • Verify payment and license status
  • Prevent excessive license sharing or misuse
  • Respond to support, refund or access-related requests
  • Maintain security, reliability and basic product operations

10. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may use trusted service providers to operate the website, backend, payments and email delivery. These may include services such as Google Cloud/Firebase, Razorpay, Google Analytics (website usage) and email delivery providers.

Information may also be disclosed if required by law, regulation, legal process, fraud prevention, security review or payment dispute handling.

11. Website analytics and cookies

On our website (this is separate from the ZeroSense browser extension), we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymised usage — such as which pages are visited and general traffic trends — so we can improve our products and content. Google Analytics may set cookies and process information such as IP address, approximate location, device or browser type, and pages viewed.

This applies only to the Advani Digital website. Neither the ZeroSense nor the Pinpoint browser extension includes any analytics or tracking, and neither sends your browsing activity, page content, images or usage to us or to any analytics provider.

You can limit or block analytics cookies through your browser settings or privacy extensions. For details on how Google handles this data, please refer to Google’s privacy policy and terms.

12. Chrome Web Store limited use

Our use of information received from the ZeroSense and Pinpoint Chrome extensions adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data, and we do not use or transfer it for purposes unrelated to providing and improving these extensions — specifically, not for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending. We do not use it for any form of profiling, and no human reads it except where required for support or security.

13. Data storage

License, email, payment reference, OTP session and device identifier data may be stored using cloud systems used by Advani Digital.

We aim to keep account and license-related information only for as long as reasonably needed for product access, support, legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or operational purposes.

14. Data deletion and support

You may contact us to request correction or deletion of your account/license related information where applicable.

Some payment, transaction, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or legal records may need to be retained even after a deletion request.

15. Children's privacy

ZeroSense, Pinpoint and other Advani Digital products are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with the latest update date.
